DKW Dance Studio


Culture has a central and fundamental role and function as the main foundation in the life order of the nation and state because a nation will be great if cultural values have taken root in the joints of people's lives.



One part of culture is traditional dance. Traditional dance is not only entertainment, dance can also be a means of gathering during performances or even adding friends because art dance performances involve many audiences so that they can foster harmony and unity among humans because culture, especially dance, plays an important role in the progress of a nation and can become much needed investment to build the future.

In my village, Kebonwaris Village, there is a traditional dance studio, this studio is a program of the village government which aims to preserve traditional dance culture for children and the community of Kebonwaris village.The name of this dance studio is the DKW dance studio (Kebonwaris Village).




Lots of villagers are interested in joining this dance studio, ranging from children to adults.This indicates that there are still many people who want to learn traditional dance arts.



The sanggar's dance training ground is located in a pendopo (a large open structure in front of the government building) and in the village hall. regular practice on wednesday and thursday.



There have been many traditional dances studied by DKW students, including Labas Samya Dance, Cer Cer Dance, Topi Dance, Senik Manis Dance, Wayangan Dance, Sorote Lintang Dance, Remo Dance, and many more.





The DKW dance studio was once one of the representatives of East Java province to appear at an art event at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta in 2019.

Culture is one of the goals of SDG 4, and our village government has done this to preserve Indonesian culture, and our village communities support this program well.
